On July 7, good news came from the construction site of Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium. The basement structure of nearly 60,000 square meters was fully completed. The project officially entered the construction phase of the main structure above the ground. It can be said that the progress is rapid.
We can see on the construction site that in the 50 operation units, formwork, reinforcement, and concrete pouring are carried out in an orderly manner. The 60,000 square meter basement structure that has been capped this time was completed in only 50 days, and the tying of steel bars was 1.3 10,000 tons, 45,000 cubic meters of concrete was poured, with an average daily pouring volume of 900 cubic meters.
Asian Cup 2023
The 18th AFC Asian Cup will be held in China from June to July 2023. The Asian Cup is the highest level and most influential football tournament in Asia hosted by the AFC. A total of 24 teams participated in this tournament and 51 high-level matches will be held. On December 28, 2019, the Chinese Football Association officially announced that 10 cities, including Chongqing, will become the host cities of the 2023 Asian Cup, and Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium will become one of the venues. It is expected to be completed and put into use by the end of 2022.
We understand that since the start of the project, the construction of Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium has been proceeding rapidly. In the large flat field stage, 1.8 million cubic meters of earth and stone flat fields were completed with more than 50 days of effective construction time; in the foundation pit excavation stage, about 300,000 cubic meters of earth and stone were excavated and transported in only 40 days, and then completed in 30 days There are 600 pile foundations, 350 independent foundations, and 1,700 meters of strip foundations.
As one of the venues for the 2023 Asian Cup, Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium covers an area of about 303 acres and has a total construction area of about 170,000 square meters. It is the first professional football stadium built in Chongqing, which can accommodate about 60,000 people. It is expected to be delivered to use at the end of 2022.
Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium is planned and constructed in accordance with the goal of “Aiming at the Asian Cup and Looking Forward to the World Cup”. In addition to hosting the 2023 Asian Football Cup, it also plans to introduce various international and domestic events.
The completion of the Chongqing Longxing Football Stadium will become an important part of the Longxing Park in Liangjiang New District to build a Longxing Football Sports Town that integrates international competitions, national fitness, and football youth training.
